Project Objective

To provide cash transfers and access to income generating opportunities and strengthen the National Safety Net Delivery System

Beneficiaries

96,000 poor and vulnerable HHs 

Project Location

The project will be implemented in 15 counties; Juba, Yei, Torit, Kapoeta East, Raja, Melut, Gogrial West, Pibor, Bor, Tonj South, Maban, Pariang and 3 other counties to be selected.

Project Overview

SNSOP provides cash support to vulnerable households and economic opportunities for youth to help them become productive members of the community and strengthen their resilience to shocks. The project focuses on enhancing the capacity of the MGCSW to effectively lead and coordinate the social protection sector and eventually establish and implement a national safety net program.  

Project Components

SNSOP provides cash transfers, economic opportunities to youth, and enhances the capacity of MGCSW to effectively lead and coordinate the social protection sector. MAFS is working collaboratively with the MGCSW to establish Project Coordination Unit within the MGCSW.
