The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) wishes to alert the general public about fraudulent messages and online adverts currently circulating, falsely claiming to be official grant opportunities from the Ministry in partnership with organizations such as the so-called “Global Farmers Association.”
These fraudulent schemes are designed to mislead and exploit unsuspecting citizens by requesting personal information or encouraging them to apply for fake grants. Please note the following:
- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) has no partnership with the “Global Farmers Association” or any of the websites and email addresses being circulated in these scam adverts.
- This advert is not an official communication from MAFS.
- All official announcements, programs, and calls for applications are published exclusively through the Ministry’s official website: www.mafs.gov.ss and on the Ministry’s verified Facebook page: NATIONAL MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY (MAFS).
The public is therefore strongly advised to ignore and avoid engaging with such fraudulent adverts. Scams of this nature have previously been reported, and unfortunately, some individuals have already fallen victim to them.
✅ Stay Vigilant:
- Do not share your personal information with suspicious websites or individuals claiming to represent the Ministry.
- Always verify any communication through the official MAFS website or Facebook page before taking action.
- Report suspected scams to the Ministry and relevant authorities immediately.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security remains committed to transparency and will continue to inform the public through its official communication channels only.
