Project Overview

South Sudan Livelihoods Resilience Project (SSLRP) supports agriculture recovery and income stabilization efforts through Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach that contributes towards strengthening household and community institutions, strengthening social cohesion whilst contributing to the economic empowerment of communities.

Key Project Components

SSLRP employs a community driven development planning approach to build strong and inclusive community-based organizations to develop community driven development plans. The plans support the community to improve agricultural production and livelihoods through investment for climate sensitive agriculture production and rural livelihoods as well as building community infrastructure to support production and marketing. The project supports MAFS through building institutional capacity and policy support.

347CBOs formed and strengthened
23community access road totaling to a stretch of 157 km identified, screened ready for rehabilitation
122122 out of 123 enterprise specific business plans selected for investment and trained
35VSLAs composed of 530 females trained and provided with kits
8Enterprise specific training manuals developed, and 360 copies produced
523Individuals (258 female and 256 males) trained on fish hygiene practices, processing and handling.
15Community tree nursery sites, identified, screened ready for establishment of tree nurseries.
